Fiddle & Pick

Home of the Musical Heritage Center of Middle Tennessee // 615-646-9131

YARD SALE at the FIDDLE & PICK on SAT OCT 17 from 9:00am-4:00 pm

the purpose of this sale is to raise money for our MUSIC SCHOOL

We need help!!!

Please call Gretchen 615-812-2192 or leave a message on the school phone 615-646-9131

We need Volunteers to work the sale with me and or to be there for drop off times to receive items.

Any items to donate to the sale would be much appreciated. It would be best to put a price tag on items donated; we won't have much time to get it together if we have to price everything donated.

We may need some strong arms to lift large items in or out of the building. Any really big or heavy items can be delivered to the school that morning of the sale around 8:00 am on Oct 17

Because storage can be a problem; we have 2 drop off times to bring items to the school to store in the back room #9 "the rowdy room", on Wed afternoon or evening Oct 14, or Fri all day into the evening until late on Oct 16 (prior to the Oct 17 Sat).

Please call Gretchen 812-2192 if you would like to help or have any questions...or ...(perhaps you can not come on those drop off dates; just call the school 646-9131 and leave us a message so we can have someone there when you can come if you would like to donate something). We will appreciate any help.

One of the things we are trying to raise money for is to accommodate some musicians from Ireland who have not only a wonderful concert to offer but also a informative lecture on the history of Irish music coming to America in the late 1800's and early 1900's, the "Golden Era". Paul Brock, McGuire, Manus, and band mates share a rare opportunity to hear about the history of the musicians of that period and their instruments and the recordings made for the first time in Irish history done right here in America! I saw this captivating lecture at MTSU last year and knew I should get them to come to our Musical Heritage Center. This is exactly the kind of programs we should support. This early music had a major impact on Traditional American music.

The band from Ireland is not asking for too much, but we must make it worth their time and efforts. Please help support our school by attending this wonderfully informative lecture on Monday evening November 2, 2009 call the center for a reservation...or by donating to the Musical Heritage Center. Small donations add up! We appreciate all efforts.

Other programs we need to fund are Mandolin, Fiddle classes for kids that want to play music that need our help.
