As I read your article, it inspired me to read about the Scotch-Irish. I went to wikipedia and learned about the bitter and unpleasant history between the Scots and the Irish. It makes me wonder how some things may be better forgotten. In spite of...
I enjoy music as a hobby, and doing creative things with other folks. I like Celtic music, and learning tunes on my guitars and my 6 string banjo.
Music is a way for me to challenge my mind, satisfy my soul, and hopefully, make friends.

Hi Tony. I've got a few in mind. I'll probably lean more towards old time tunes, since the
Irish stuff seems well covered by Gretchen and company. I can teach Irish tunes also if

Campbell's Farewell to Red Gap
Kansas Waltz
Kiss Me Waltz
Nail That Catfish
Ora Lee
Shove The Pigs Foot
Mairi's Wedding (...an Irish tune, I think...)

Looks like our St. Patrick's day gig is out of town this year; we're going up to Lexington, I think. A little road trip should be fun.
I don't guess we've officially met but I've been meaning to chat with you about your 6 string banjo. Is that a GoldTone? I like how you use that on Celtic tunes.

Most of us play our accoustic guitars at the jam sessions here.
But I was just wondering how many of you also own and play electric guitars. What kind? And what amp do you have? Tell us about it.
As for me, I have a 1979 Gibson ES-175D, an arche...
