We had our first Wed. night jam after the break. We had 4 dulcimists, and a "real" bass player. My brother Roger cannot come every time, but plans to make it as often as he can. He has played bass fiddle for a couple of decades now I think, and ha...

This is good news! I shared this with the Cheatham County Dulcimer Arts Society via their email list too. Don't know that I will get to see you on the first, but will definitely shoot for the 15th. Would still be interested in a Saturday AM and...

In the event you need a venue with up to 200 seats, Cross Bright can help by providing a space for putting on shows or larger workshops. We are just up the road in downtown White Bluff & would be very convenient for everyone. I started my love for...

Good for you, Erin! Thanks for taking the lead on this. I can make at least one Wednesday a month, sometimes both. I'm very interested in doing one Saturday a month. I think this jam can be special, especially with some of us learning bass. I thi...

Hi, All, I checked in with Gretchen (Priest-May) about continuing our Wednesday evening jams since I missed them a lot, and so many of us couldn't make a weekend, even if one had been scheduled. She is fine with it and has added us back on the 1s...

Thank you so much, Stephen, for welcoming me in on Wednesday evening. I loved it and will be back! By the way to I owe you anything - I was so in awe I forgot to ask.

I'm trying to get in touch with Linda Sack about obtaining her CD. She was wonderful to me when I first tried to "try" - the timing just was not right. I hope to "make" the time right this time.

And I have been in touch with the Cheatham Co. HIstorian, a good friend of mine from high school. She wants to help me uncover the mysteries of the Highway 70 taverns. So hopefully, I will make time for that as well & can tell you more about the area soon.

My dulcimer is still safely in the case but I hope to take it out this weekend, hopefully the tuner is there in the case, and maybe I will abuse it some! Will also pull together your book and CDs (some of which I have my vehicle and listen to from time to time just because I love the sound)

Played piano some as a young child, but my family could not afford the rented piano for long and the teacher did not like Merle Haggard and the fact that that's what I wanted to play! I first saw /heard a dulcimer and was intrigued in high school - 1976, but never thought I would actually own one. Hopefully I will own the "one" or "ones" I want someday, but decided I should learn to play some first. Tell me what you think about a "Ginger" because they look lovely to me and I like the size. Wish I had taken the time to meet David - I could have, should have and did not pursue - he is leading some Angel Band somewhere no doubt.

I do not have a lap which is a problem, but I have started inquiring about a strap.

Please tell me, do you know the song, Ashoken Farewell, and if so can it be done on the dulcimer?

Looking forward to see - I'll shut up now, but can you tell that I am excited!

Most of us play our accoustic guitars at the jam sessions here. But I was just wondering how many of you also own and play electric guitars. What kind? And what amp do you have? Tell us about it. As for me, I have a 1979 Gibson ES-175D, an arche...
