Primarily a vocalist, I have been involved in music from a very young age. I grew up singing with my brothers and sisters in a family bluegrass/gospel band all over Texas and Oklahoma, and soon after, my parents hosted a popular Bluegrass festival in Perrin, Texas for more than 10 years.
I have continued to sing and perform with various bands including Red Oak, The Domestic Science Club, and a fledgling band in the early '90s called the Dixie Chicks. I play upright bass, mandolin, and on occasion guitar, whichever is needed for a particular band configuration.
Since moving to Nashville in 1999, I produced and released a well-received independent cd, These are the Good Old Days, which includes Missy Raines, Jim Hurst, Casey Driessen, David Harvey, Richard Bailey, Randy Kohrs, Keith Little, and Robert Gateley, among others.
I frequently sing songwriter demos and session background vocals, and continue to perform live with various artists--most notably, the barn-storming artist/producer/songwriter Gail Davies' Band. I have toured in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium, Holland and the US east and west coasts. I am privileged to have performed at the Ryman Auditorium, especially singing harmony vocals for the Moody Blues' appearances for the Moody Bluegrass concert, and multiple times on the Grand Ole Opry with Gail Davies' Band, sung the national anthem for World Cup matches with Domestic Science Club, and I was with the Dixie Chicks when the group won the prestigious Telluride contest. I have contributed session vocals for some of acoustic music's most celebrated talents including Gail Davies, Emmylou Harris, John Cowan, Ralph Stanley, and Charlie McGettigan.
I am excited to also have contributed lead vocals to writer/songwriter/bassist Jon Weisberger's September 2008 release, If This Road Could Talk, and anticipate an early 2009 release of an acoustic project with Maro Kawabata and Wyatt Rice.
In addition to music, I am a freelance graphic artist/designer, an illustrator, and mother to my 5 yr. old daughter.
Hey Patty!! I love your songs and your voice and everything. Could I trouble you to send your baby pic to homerock724@yahoo.com so I may get my cd layout. I think we will be in the studio very soon and I can't wait for your colors on my project.

Most of us play our accoustic guitars at the jam sessions here.
But I was just wondering how many of you also own and play electric guitars. What kind? And what amp do you have? Tell us about it.
As for me, I have a 1979 Gibson ES-175D, an arche...
